Welcome to Surprised by Grace
RADIANTResolve
Meet the women of RADIANTResolve, a new ministry I (Edye) have been helping to launch, since August 2011, with three other women.

“We are just four chicks who love Jesus!” That’s how our ministry partner, Vickie Wingfield, likes to describe us. We are passionate about the mission God has called us to—“inspiring courageous resolve in God’s women to radiate His glory in every moment of their lives.” Our hearts desire is for women to embrace and live the Truth of Psalm 34:5, “Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”
After months of prayer and planning, RADIANTResolve kicked off its first women’s conference on March 30-31, 2012, in Harrison, AR. It was an amazing weekend filled with estrogen, energy, great teaching, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Sheryl, Lee, Vickie, and Edye saw the fruit of their primary purpose—to make a big deal of God and bring Him glory!
We would love for you to check us out at www.radiantresolve.com or email us at info@radiantresolve.com to book a conference at your church.
YOUniquely Designed to Give Life
Another door God has opened for me this past year is the opportunity to partner with my dear friend, Nancy Butkowski, to teach women’s retreats. After praying for several years that we would have the opportunity to teach together, God opened this door.
In 2011 we taught our first two retreats entitled “YOUniquely Designed to Give Life”—a four session retreat encouraging women to live in such a way as to leave a life-giving legacy to all in their sphere of influence. In 2012 we are launching a sequel entitled “Perfecting God’s Unique Design”—another four session retreat to help women find God’s victory and life in the midst of trials and suffering.
Seeds of Transformation

We are all familiar with the story of Jesus turning over the tables in the Temple and running the money-changers out (Matthew 21). He was angry because they were dishonoring God’s Temple which was meant to be a house of prayer. In dishonoring the Temple, they were also guilty of dishonoring the Name of the Lord. Jesus was passionate about upholding the honor of the Temple, His Father’s house, and the honor of His Father’s name.
Today the Church of Jesus Christ is as remiss about upholding the honor of God’s name as were the Jews in the time of Jesus. Sin is tolerated, Truth is compromised, and few are willing to speak up for fear of how others will respond. When the passion of Jesus Christ beats in our hearts we will not tolerate sin, hypocrisy, and heresy within the Church. We will speak out against anything that dishonors the Name of our Lord no matter the cost.
